AURA History & Trivia

As you may remember, AURA recently celebrated its 35th Anniversary season this past spring. We have been working on compiling a brief history of the choir to document our 35 years. Thanks to the efforts of past member Robin Suddaby, current member Robyn Thornton and current president Maureen Evans, we now have a new tab on the website entitled “History & Interesting Facts”. The headings under this tab are, “Members & Friends” which lists all those who have sung with AURA and their first concert date, “Notes of Interest” which outlines a few interesting bits of trivia and “History” which provides a brief history of AURA’s beginning as well as an outline of each concert since the first in 1979. If you have a moment, you may find it interesting to browse this new tab.

If you have any interest in exploring the chance to sing with AURA, now is a good time to go to the “Contact Us” tab and send us a quick email outlining your interest, including your contact numbers. We will be in touch with you to explain the audition process and arrange a time to connect with you.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm beginning on September 9 at the NOCLS Building (2400 46th Avenue in Vernon).
