AURA rehearsals have begun….

AURA has begun preparation for its Fall 2017 season with the first rehearsal of its 39th year last night. Even at this early stage, the music is wonderful to sing!

This season will be shared by two guest conductors, Terry Pitt-Brooke and Tami Harker, who have been chosen to audition for the Music Director’s position. They have selected the program which includes many well-loved favourites from AURA’s library including de Victoria’s Ave Maria, Faure’s Madrigal and Cantique de Jean Racine, Vivaldi’s Magnificat , Haydn’s The Heavens are Telling and the wonderful Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre, among others.

As always, basses and tenors are an especially welcome addition to the choir (along with soprano and alto). If you have an interest  in singing or exploring the possibility, please go to the “Contact Us” button to let us know of your interest in the choir.

Concert details will be available on this site at the end of October. In the meantime, reserve November 18th or 19th to hear our program of AURA favourites.
