Tickets are now available for AURA’s spring concert to be presented Saturday March 25th at 7:30pm and Sunday March 26 at 2:00pm in All Saints Anglican Church, Vernon.

“The Promise of Living” begins with excerpts from Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil with the rich harmonies of this monument of Russian sacred music.

We continue with the third movement of Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms (Psalm 150) and end the first half with Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, sung in Hebrew.

The second half will include a selection of spirituals from Michael Tippett’s A Child of our Time, and two selections from Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land– Stomp Your Foot and our title piece, The Promise of Living.
